Indexing:

Indexing is the process of entering information from historical records into an online, searchable and readable database.

Indexed records can be the key to helping people find their ancestors. Searching, record hints, and descendancy research all require indexed records.

Indexing is not difficult to learn, but knowing the best steps and methods will assist in giving confidence and methods to be more productive and efficient.
The teacher for this class is highly experienced. She has an extensive background in genealogy and indexing work.
Taking this class will help to get started with confidence and knowledge to assist in preparing valuable records which will help thousands of other researcher s to find their family members. Everyone who gives time to indexing is giving a gift of knowledge that many will use and in return others are doing the same thing for others like us. The gratitude goes both ways
