Wednesday Oct. 9 Class 1 0f 2 - Researching County Courthouse Records
This class will cover records that have genealogical and family history value which can be found within most county courthouses. The LDS Church collects and preserves records throughout the United States and this class will help those attending the class to recognize those records, learn how they interrelate with each other, and how they can lead to new records and further researching ideas. We will follow a man and his life through researching records found only within a common county courthouse. Records covered in this class range from Probate, Wills, Land, School, Census, Marriage, and other seldom known records.
Thursday Oct 10 Class 2 of 2- Researching County Courthouse Records (Civil Records)
This is a follow-up class to Researching County Courthouse Records Part 1. In this class we will continue to discover family history information and research techniques as we discuss Civil Court Case Files where testimonies are given and which show how we can truly get to know our ancestors...how they actually felt about their lives.
