Grandson: Grandpa, will you help me earn my Genealogy Merit Badge?
John:
Ask your grandmother. She's the one with the most Ancestors.
When a boy earns a Genealogy Merit Badge, he will gain a respect for his ancestors that will stay with him for the rest of his life. It is a fortunate young person who has a grandparent he can relate to and who will share information and family stories with him. Some are not so fortunate, but the information is not all lost. At the St. George FamilySearch Library there is a class offered Boy Scouts Merit Badge, class #700. This class is taught by qualified instructors and can even be taught to groups or individuals by special appointment. The youth of this age learn very quickly. We are glad to help them earn this badge.
