The Irish Newspaper Collection on Findmypast continues to grow at a rapid pace. Since our last round-up in January, we’ve added a further 1.6 million new articles to the archive for you to explore.

The latest additions include 5 new titles from all over Ireland – Belfast Protestant Journal, Current Prices of Grain at Dublin Corn Exchange, Newry Herald and Down, Armagh and Louth Journal, Tipperary Vindicator and Weekly Vindicator.

The new articles and publications bring the entire collection to over 7 million searchable and articles and 65 newspaper titles. This impressive library of news covers 152 years of Irish history dating from 1748-1900. (Click "ReadMore" for a lot more information.)
Try the following lings in findmypast for more Irish research information.
As well as adding new titles, we also supplemented a further 36 existing ones. This includes substantial updates to Dublin Evening Post (408,496), Southern Reporter and Cork Commercial Courier (405,442) and Waterford News (73,095).

As well as being really useful for finding your ancestors listed in the many public notices, advertisements and news reports, the Irish newspapers often throw up all manner of interesting stories. Start exploring the pages today and see what you can uncover.
