In honor of St. Patrick's Day on March 17, this article offers methods to search for Irish ancestors records easily and effectively in FamilySearch.

The following is a visual  step by step method    to locate, choose and then use for further   research  information and valuable sources.

Each visual will clearly present the needed
steps to become acquainted with an effective method to use over again in search for a variety of desired records.

Click on the "Search" tab at the top of a FamilySearch Page. A drop down list will appear. Click on "Record."

This page "Records" page will open. Find the part of the world in which you wish to search. In this case find "Ireland" and click on it.

Because you clicked on Ireland, it came up with a color, this time "yellow." Also a box appeared asking you to choose the desired country.  Click on Ireland.

Immediately the card will change and offer information.  The four boxes of information help to know what is available.  Click on the words "Start research in Ireland." The following page will appear.

This copy of the page does not allow the actual experience, but shows what will appear. Fill in the information you have decided to use. Sometimes a little information works better than filling every box. Try different approaches.

Also take time to try some of the "Titles" at the bottom of the page.  Notice how many records there are and how current they are. Also notice the ones that can be viewed (with a camera symbol).
Do you want to see more than just the five that are shown? If so, click on "Show all 19 Collections."

When you have chosen a collection, click on "Search." Remember that you can keep coming back to this page by clicking the black arrow at the top left of the page. You can change the desired information as many times as desired.
