When you click a region on the map, you will see a list of countries in that region. If you click on a country in the list, you will then see how many collections, records, and images are available for that country in the FamilySearch.org records collection . When you click the Start researching link, a page opens with links to each of the collections for that country. To view the record collections, click on the link and begin your search.
Benefits of using the interactive map:
- Unlike the previous map, this map should be visible on the screen in most browsers without requiring you to scroll down the page.
- It requires fewer clicks and less time to get to all the collections for a specific country.
- Prior to going to the collections for the country, you see the amount of data available for the country and when the collection information was last updated.
