Are you one of the millions of descendants of the Mayflower passengers that sailed from England and arrived in what is now Massachusetts in September 1620?

Most of what is known of this historical voyage came from the records of two of the passengers Edward Winslow and William Bradford.  At first there were two ships, but at the time of departure, only one of the ships, the Mayflower was in good enough condition to consider such a trip.  The 102 passengers and some 30-40 crew members where crowed on the . . .

“The voyage took 66 days in which only two passengers died in the journey. The Mayflower entered Cape Cod Bay and stayed there until March of of 1621 when all surviving passengers went ashore at Plymouth Rock. Due to an outbreak of scurvy, pneumonia and tuberculosis, only 53 survived and went ashore. The Mayflower passengers are a symbol of the beginning of the colonization of the Americas. Over half of the passengers on the Mayflower were considered as English dissenters or pilgrims who wanted religious freedom.”

Before the passengers set foot on land, they had decided to create a document that spelled out their plans to restore and ensure order. They had left England because of the tortures methods of governing there. The new plan, the Mayflower Compact, was their vision of order and respect. 41 of the adult male passengers signed the Mayflower Compact . (See the names at the following link.
