This two day class that will help you get started with your family history and/or get you up to date with the latest changes while showing you more effective ways of doing your research.
Our “Show then Do” method will help you to learn one step at a time and then get your hands on the computer so you will know how to do it yourself.
Class starts at 9 a.m. sharp and goes until 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday.

What to Bring ? - What Will You Learn?
Bring the Following to Class:
Your Basic computer skills - (Do you need to take the Basic Computer Skills first?)
A flash drive or cloud account with user name and password for copying handouts
Your individual (not shared) Email user name and password that can be accessed at the
FSL
Your LDS or FamilySearch account user name and password
Your Ancestry.com account user name and password (LDS, General or free Guest account)
A GedCom or backup file or paper documents of your family history - 3 to 5 generations
Digital picture - 1 or 2 to upload into Memories
A short family story or event to add to Memories
Your lunch - you don't want to miss what goes on while we are eating
If you need help with computer skills, classes in Basic Computer Skills are taught each month.
If you need help getting your LDS or FamilySearch account, your Ancestry.com account, or creating your GedCom, please come into the FS Library prior to the training day and someone will assist you. To benefit fully from this training, you need these items before beginning the training class. Being prepared will make this training so much more enjoyable and informative.
